There are a number of movies with Trans charactors often as the butt of jokes but I have yet to see many movies that have non binary charactors here are the two mavies I've found can anyone offer up more possible movies

"Orlando" came close with a wake up next day with other bits type of transation from femine Male to girly girl to androgyness female.

"Iron Ladies" has a number of feminine gay guys and a TS girl and a butch lesbian in a great underdog type of story

Edit: almost forgot about the 5th movie in the "childs play" series "seed of chucky"
I don't want to be a man there from Mars
I'd Like to be a woman Venus looks beautiful
I'm enjoying living on Pluto, but it is a bit lonely

I don't watch many movies, but if anime counts, (androgynous) Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club is the closest thing you will see to a "normal" character in the show.

Kiera Knightly looks almost skeletal in a lot of movies. I think the undead are non-binary. ;)

I think Lestat and Lui in an interview with a vampire where particulalry non-binary.

Oh I have a good one - the angels in Dogma i.e. Matt Daimon etc.. They did not seem particulalry non-binary but they had no private parts - literarly not male or female if genetalia is the yard stick.

In Deepspace Nine they have that weird morphing security officer - Otto?. I'm pretty sure they are a non-binary character as they could conceivably be anything.

I could go on a bit of a limb here - but I always saw Jesus in movies as a character that transended mere male or female. I know in christianity he was specifically male, but he seemed much more than just man (yet at the same time he was particulalry human in nature).

I thought of "Orlando" immediately as soon as I saw the title of this thread.

I can't think of any others right offhand, although "Seed of Chucky" and Jesus works fine for me.  ;D

Yeah, I thought Orlando Bloom too....

Hey, your pic Kyleykahyt, reminds me of some album cover I saw once with a topless redhead girl (of about 12) holding an aeroplane of some kind. Except yours has that old woman in it...I'll see if I can find it to compare...

Does Dill from "The Crying Game" count as a non-binary character?  After all, Dill never claimed any gender for hirself.  Dill was at times very feminine, but by the end of the movie had the long hair hacked off and presented more masculine.  I really liked that character a lot.

Non binary film characters...

Stephanie in "Wild Side" (played by a pre-op TS)

Mery in "Mery per Sempre" (played by a pre-op TS)

Alex in "XXY" (brilliant film)

Ludovic in "Ma vie en Rose" (cross dressing gender confused little kid)

The main actress in "Princesa"

The Iranian actress in "Unveiled" (great film)

Can't think of anymore off hand...

Personally I would consider Dill a non-binary character too, but then my idea of non-binary often starts leaning towards the trans side of things.

Johnny Depp as Edward Scissorshands, Ed Wood, Jack Sparrow or any number of other characters (especially, it seems, when he collaborates with Tim Burton).

Animal Mother in "Full Metal Jacket" also seemed to have a certain duality about him (metaphorically speaking, of course).  ::)

Saw "Drifting Flowers" by Zero Chou last night. Great film that portrays three different non-binary lesbian couples.

If I may add for video games, I'll slip in some:

Final Fantasy V - Faris
Chrono Trigger - Ayla (albeit a token representative)
Tales of Eternia - Farah
Lufia: The Legend Returns - Aima (similar to Ayla) and Yurist
Guilty Gear XX - Bridget (somewhat infamously as a consequence of upbringing, but he still identifies as a heterosexual male, reinforcing the idea that one's gender identity and attractions are not "taught")
Disgaea - Etna is arguably the most ruthless protagonist in the first two games of the series and is best equipped with axes.

Winnie the Pooh.  Hey, he had a couple of movies!  Plus he has always been my hero.  I think we could learn a lot from Pooh (Winnie, that is)!
