Purpose of this post is to find any kind of stats related. I have
never seen any approximate or remote number of androgynes or even androgynous data listed on the net in any serious manor in reading about such subjects. This at leasts tries to find some related data and bring some together. I have seen estimates of total CD/TV/TS/IS/and even a few TG estimates.
I put it in that order since these three I found, the first being most relavent, the second less, and the third the least, priority wise. If anyone else finds anything, please post it.

Only part of this site is about gender identity. Not just gender identity here at susan's , also ->-bleeped-<-s and crossdressers, as well as intersexed (mixed biology despite gender identity), and even social psychological gender crossers. The first stats have changed through the last year. Going from zero, two years ago, since the section was unorganized and mixed with the other TG categorizes, to the current number. The number was unkown, though there were members that could have been in the section had there been one in existence.
I included from the 2nd stats Third gender was bolded, so there was no mistake in overlooking them. Problem with the 2nd poll is people answered multiple options. Hence the 10 to 20, Its unkown the actual number. That poll wasnt made to be exact. However being one of the only polls I could find right off the bat, and relative, deserves being shown.
The third I did stat the source from David Bowie fans. At a minimum, one can guess it at least means an androgynous cross gender dressing person or mixed interdressing, which still falls into the realm of this site which has relation (even if distant) to crossdressers/->-bleeped-<-s. Androgynous crossdressing included. Though one can also assume non polar gender identity members are present in some form or another.

Specifics would have to be known about the individual people, not broad generalities, assumptions, and making an archetype of all david bowie fan as being just a cisgendered glam rocker. I have no fear however in the stat. I know the chance that such person that is not transgender visiting this site is almost zero. And that it harms no one in any way that I can think of.
I dont include all those numbers as transgendered androgynes, nor assume so. I only post what was stated. I didnt comment on the david bowie fan club stats. If I can find statistics of how many david bowie fans are TV/CD/AG/IS/TS I will also add it here.
Though Keeping with the range of Susan's: cd/tv/ag/so/ts those stats also deserve mention and anywhere inbetween.

Gender Identity
Respondents were given the option of identifying their gender identity as male, female,
transgender, or other. Thirty-eight percent (n = 1313) of respondents described their
gender identity as female, 35% (n = 1211) as transgender, and less than 20% (n = 673) as
male. Among the people who identified as transgender, the most common descriptions
were "male to female," "crossdresser," "female to male," "genderqueer," and
"->-bleeped-<-." Those respondents who marked "other" most often identified as
"genderqueer," "crossdresser," "androgynous," or "unsure."
Gender Expression
Respondents were asked how they express their gender. Forty percent (n = 1380) express
themselves as female, 26% (n = 888) express themselves as male, and 25% (n = 848)
express themselves as transgender. Nine percent selected "other," and most often
expressed as "ambiguous," "androgynous," "bigender," "both female and male," "butch,"
"crossdresser," "fluid," "genderqueer," and "varies."
