Unsigned E-mail Slams CV Teachers' for 'Gay Agenda'
Castro Valley Forum

Castro Valley Forum

An anonymous email, sent to perhaps thousands of Castro Valley parents in response to last week's "Days of Diversity" program at Castro Valley High School, has generated a storm of reaction among students and parents for its decidedly anti-gay sentiments.

One paragraph in the email read: "A presentation in math class today was over the top. The kids were given step by step instructions on how to become gay and transsexual. They were given a list of websites to visit some of which were so disgusting that they should be labeled porn sites."

Exactly how does one "become"?  And step by step.   ??? Obviously the author know nothing about the subject that they are writing about.

I would argue that the writer knows about what they are trying to achieve: keeping a certain range of ill-informed people afraid of sexual orientation, and then stroking those fears.  Words like "become" are consistent with the idea that conservatives believe or advertise the idea that sexual orientation and gender identification are "choices."  If these attributes are considered "choices," then fault can be more easily pinned on the people of interest and can call it a "sin."  If the attributes are considered a part of the human condition that is ingrained into our biology, then the concept of "sin" is much harder to apply.

Granted, the person is also a total coward for lying and not taking responsibility for it, but that person is definitely on-message.

In all of the items I have read here in over two years I haven't noticed that "knowing anything at all" is a requirement for such a writer to write something.

In point of fact, I think a belief and an axe to hone, prejudical if possible and inflammatory if possible, are prolly the only strict requirements there are.

The insidious gay and transsexual/transgender agendas!! Already worming their ways into a neighborhood near you!!

An unsigned e-mail.  Ah the bravery, the courage, the shining strength of purpose shown by those who would stand against the Transexual Empire and their homosexualist lackeys.  I fear I may swoon with awe.

Yeah, up here in 'Orange County North" or "littleLA" as they call Contra Costa County up here, our own little red state right here in the Bay Area, how farking accepting can you get?

I like to know why an 'unsigned email' garners any attention in the first place.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

It's quite simple why. The fact that the email audience exactly matched the parents of the student body, means that whoever sent the email stole either the school's or the PTA's mailing list. That is, in fact, a cyber crime.

Is a cyber crime like a real crime?  Cause I tried cyber sex, and it was nothing like real sex, just a different way to boff the bishop.

Ya, because you go to real jail.

I really doubt anyone is going to real jail for this.

One would imagine, given the nature of alertness about where children live and their privacy in terms of possible molesters, etc that it was an inside job. Like a school secretary or a BOE secretary or a principal or teacher or somene employed by the BOE.

If they wanted to pursue it they prolly could and prolly even find a "signature" for whomever did the deed. The odds of it for a local school district contretemps? Less than likely I imagine.

Well, unless ... unless there is enough hell raised about the fact that the list had to have been compiled from documentation that was supposed to be secure inside info only and could it have been some nefarious ne'er-do-well who might target "the children" for his or her dastardly purposes.

Ummmm, just saying, ya know?

Something like that could happen ....

I suppose ...

and they might investigate if the population of Castro Valley was stirred enough.

Butcha never know about such things.
