Hi all, April again!
I had the most wonderful dream last night, I was myself(as I should be) and living a life like a fairy tale! Meeting my prince handsome, and the ensuing activities ;-). It's not the first dream I have had where I have been the girl I am supposed to be, but it was amazing, so my question is.

Dreams, what do you have?
Hugs,
April

I am glad you had such an entertaining dream.

The dreams I have, at least what I can remember of the
ones that I remember having, are disturbing nightmares.

"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

I rarely remember my dreams, just the way I feel in the morning.  I had one last night and I woke up feeling tired and groggy.  And I could not tell you why.  I simple don't remember the dream.

I often have dreams that tell the future. I sometimes encounter things in real life for the first time but I remember them. I think it's called deja vu, right? I'd love to get a tape recorder and just talk about my dreams like in the anime series Ghost Hound.

I sometimes think the unconscious mind has a way of perceiving events outside of time. This might be able to explain seers and prophets and what have you.

The coolest thing I've experienced while dreaming is cognative dreaming where you realize your dreaming & over time actualy learn how to control your dreams. I would always fly & see how high I could go.

Ah yes, lucid dreaming!  That is cool if you can do it!  I'm not very good at it at all because, as you probably know, the "wake reflex" tends to kick in when self-referential consciousness comes online.  Apparently it's possible to train yourself to do it if it doesn't come naturally.   It could be fun (although I do wonder if it's possible to have the dream equivalent of a "bad trip" as on the few occasions I did stray into lucid dreaming I found myself having a battle of wills with my own subconscious ... which was disturbing to say the least)

Yes! "Lucid Dreaming" ty, it does take a lot of practice to be able to do it at all & a battle of wills w/your subconcious is an exellent description. I stumbled upon it by accident as a kid & then it was a matter of learning how to control it. I didn't learn it was medically documented until very recently.
