Erica Briggs: Amendment 1 will protect women

If Amendment 1 is rejected, I will resent imposing yet another limitation upon my daughter – one of many rules she must follow simply because she's a girl in a perverted world. This ordinance was created to protect the rights of 100 or so transgender individuals when they use public restrooms. My question is this: did they consider the 50,000 women who have the right to enter a restroom without concern for safety/boundary issues?

Women must be on guard enough as is, must we add to that list the simple act of using the bathroom? Though police have not reported any such violations, with the increased publicity of this vote, we have alerted all the perverts that they may soon have a free pass to violate women and girls; all they have to do is dress up as a woman.
