I have bought two maps for myself about Montreal. Neither of these show the place where the hospital is. And it seems to that there are no undergound near. Seems to that is quit hard to get to know the city but I have not very much time because of my surgery. So seeing Montreal as tourist is not my intention.

I was just in Montreal. :) It's a very easily walkable city, and the people are extremely nice.  I think it's said somewhere that Montreal's citizens are some of the friendliest in the world.  If you have a question about anything, just duck into a currency exchange station, a lady there answered all our questions and it was great.  The only thing is, speak very clearly, a lot of them learned French first and might have slight trouble with English.

Have you tried Googling the hospital on Google Maps?

Try asking Julie Marie.  She is there now, and should be back in communication range in a couple of days.

Yes, I have googled before and seen the place but it is out of the two Montreal city maps I bought.

The nearest Montréal Metro station to the clinic, the hospital and the residence is Henri-Bourassa on the Orange line. The Orange line runs to the Berri-UQAM station, that is the central station.

In any case, you will be picked up and delivered by the clinic driver. The only time you will need to decipher the subway is if you want to go out partying on your night of arrival.

Friday I will have a doctor's appointment and Monday evening I will go to the Hospital (or that is the plan) so I have Saturday and Sunday without anything spesidic to do. ???

Oh.. lots! Montreal is one of Canada's oldest cities (I know not as old as some places in Europe but for us.. ANCIENT!).

http://www.mmfa.qc.ca/en/ is one of Canada's Oldest Museums.

http://www.vieux.montreal.qc.ca/eng/accueila.htm: Old Montreal is also great to visit.

The Botanical Gardens, Mont Royale, shopping, bars, etc. Check out here: http://www.tourisme-montreal.org/ for idears :)

Montreal is the best city ever.  I was only there for two days to see a concert, but I took in as much as I could.  I found the city to be really easy to traverse on foot, and I never once got lost in my entire time there.  There were times I didn't know where I was going, but not the same thing.  When you're lost, you're lost, when you don't know where you're going, it's an adventure.  Also, I'd never taken a subway before and it was all like "ZOOM!" and I was like "YAY!" except not because people look at you funny when you do that in a cramped public space.

Montreal's great.  It's where I'm hoping to move after I graduate.  It seemed like a very trans friendly city.  Though that might just be because I'm somewhere between "Y'ain't from 'round here are ya?" and "You've got a perdy mouth."
