This has become quite the topic. It has been three weeks since my surgery. When I got back and saw my kids and ex, not one word was said about it. That was two weeks ago. I had Mariah for a bit yesterday and when she she wanted to look at some pictures stored on the disc in my camera, and was told that there were pictures of my chest on there only a few days after the surgery, shes like never mind. Then when I dropped her off at Karen's(where Mariah lives now) I noticed Karen looking alot at my heavy 5 o'clock shadow, and glancing down at my chest. I just kept talking. Then when she walked me to the car she said she wanted to see it. I asked why? She said because she is a nurse. So I unbuttoned my shirt for her. I think she was speechless for a moment. Then we talked about how I have to put sunscreen on the scars and nipples while outside right now. And I told her it would be a few months until the scars would start to fade, and she thought the nipples looked go even now. Well of course they do. She has known me for 15 years and knew then I was trans. I don't get her sometimes. My daughter Jenny spent the night last night she is almost 11, and I knew she saw it a little last night when my shirt was unbuttoned but did not say anything. Then this morning she tells Pam she saw it, and has some strange word for my nipples like "little plates" or something. Then I showed it to her and other than the scars, she was not phased in the least with it. So one kid can't enen look at a picture of it, and the other one takes it all in. I just can't wait until I can work out AGAIN so I can build it up. It looks sostrange to me because I have big shoulders and defined biceps, and this little kid looking chest >:(

Awww Marco..... you are living your dream and it is becoming reality.

Changes.... It is often the people we know well that can see the changes more than we do. Wel ive with them everyday and it is sometimes not until some one points them out that we become aware of them.

Healing will happen, you will soon be back in that gym or working out and taking your shirt off (like all the sweaty guys do...), to reveal those muscles...

It is great your daughter understands and kids sometimes have the strangest ways of describing things...

Marco, I'm so jealous. But I figure you've given me something to aspire to.
