Julie Marie

Monday is the day, as long as all the tests turn out okay.  We'll be flying into Montreal Saturday morning, probably visit Saint Sulpice that evening then spend Sunday finishing the shopping list.

I know for a lot of girls this is the pinnacle, the goal of a lifetime.  For me, it's just another step in the process.  It will certainly make life easier though and the stress of living a life in physical duality will end.  But life will go on and there's a lot of living to do after I've recovered.

But what is most magical about this journey is just a few short years ago I wanted the Lord to take me, so miserable was I with the life I was living and unable to fathom actually transitioning.  Now I can say I've never felt so alive and have never looked so forward to living every day with my sweetie.

It's such an amazing turn of events that took a dismal life and changed it into one full of love, hope and dreams.  Thank you all for helping make this possible.

I'm so thrilled for you, Julie.  Congratulations!  You are correct, for some of us it is not only a goal of a lifetime but also the culmination of many years of pain, sorrow, and depression.  That's how it was for me.  I wish you the very best and a speedy recovery!  You will be in my thoughts and prayers, and of course, I will also send you good energy!  See you when you get back.  Take care of yourself and happy birthday in advance!  :)

Pat and I had dinner with Julie and her partner last Sunday for a farewell dinner.

She really didn't want any sort of gag gift party.  Just a time to get together.  I wished her well and we had a great time.

I am so happy for her.  And don't let her calm demeanor fool you.  She is very excited to have this over with and looks forward to it A LOT!

Have a safe trip and a wonderful time, Julie!  Yeah, I know.  It's hard to really enjoy yourself when you have to plan your day around your dilation schedule.  But I hope you find time to have a little fun!

And, I have never seen you as happy as you are right now.  Your life has had so many twists and pot holes.  I am sure there will be so many fewer from now on!

Julie,
by the time you read this, I'm thinking. You will have had your surgery. You are a very amazing person and you will sail through all the not so good parts. They will seem small compared your life ahead of you. There is still a lot to learn but its not as tramatic as what you have gone through. I'm really happy for you.
Love Sheila

Wonderful news!  I talked to Julie's partner a little while ago.  She called from the recovery room.  Julie came through just fine.  She was awake with a big smile on her face!  Now the fun begins.

I know you have always been a girl, but this is super special and like Sandy told me once.  It takes a lot of courage to be born twice!  Happy birthday Julie.  I am sooooooo happy for you! Welcome to the rest of your life hon! :)

Praise "I Am", thank-you for bringing our sister safely through.
Please, bless her swift and complete recovery with
a path that rises to meet her every step.

So Be It.

"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

Julie Marie,

I just reread my first original post in this thread
and I realize now that it was insensitve of me
to lay the burden of my fears on you. I apologize
if I made it any more difficult for you. I have
removed the post that I wish I had not written.

Please, forgive me. :icon_ashamed:
