Yes..first therapy session .......

Well tomorrow is my first therapy session, I don't know what to expect and am a bit scared....a bit.

but I know what I want, I am passed the point in dealing with it and just wanna get it on....

so here in alberta where I live there is a GID clinic but the wait is 1 to 2 years and 1 doctor who works 1 day a week at it.....wow!!

My GP has put me on Spiro already and have been on it 6 months..nice changes and im 42

so I am taking a different route and seeing a private therapist 170$ a visit....crazy stuff!!

Congrats on seeing the therapist, just be yourself and be upfront and honest. Being on Spiro a long time can cause bone loss unless a hormone is added, either Testosterone (yuk) or Estrogen (yay). Good luck and let us know how it went.

Well.....

There was no reason for me to be nervous at all.

OMG it went extremely well..she asked me if I had asked the doctor for estrogen......ermm no.....ok why not?....ummm I thought I would have to wait a bit longer....ask him....ok at my next visit to him.

so you can imagine how I feel right now.....weeeee.

One bad habit she said I had was ....I am to hard on myself and put myself down  to much.

I can work on that cuz ...being positive is the thing.

I have now gone to my first electrolysis booking and I must say that I enjoyed talking to the girl doing it...that was good therapy in itself, but umm I think dancing on glass would be just as fun.

Luckily I have light skin and dark Hair so I was told laser is the way to go and do electro on the white hairs.

and NO i did not scream

We're SOOO excited for you!  OMG, I go to my first therapy session a week from this Saturday which will be on 18 April 2009.  Are you thrilled but also scared?  I know I am.  I'm thrilled to start the process but scared of possible violence from "goons" during transition.  How do YOU feel about these things yourself?

Depends on where you live, some places you are in a captive market. The first one I called wanted that much as well, but it is on the high end.

well I can go see therapist  who work on  sliding scale...im not rich, but they will have no experience with TG people and i think id rather have experience ....i dont want to be a teacher and its only once a month.

but anyhow...a Happy note is I am now on estrogen \o/
had my first electrolis appointment \o/ ....... o what fun..not really LOL
and monday i have my first laser appointment \o/

so all is good
