Ok, there's something not right here. In Canada, every province has protections against sexual orientation discrimination. She should be going to the human rights board of her province to get this addressed. If you look at the full set of emails, there is a whole story behind this:

http://www.cdpdj.qc.ca/en/home.asp By my count the supervisor had violated about 5-6 rights and since the school is a CEGEP (kind of like a community college that's run by the province) she'd have good reason for them to be involved.
As a final note, this college and instructor are the exception, not the rule. My aunt is a head nurse. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with nursing in her opinion. It's a person's ability and professionalism that matters.
