I have had strange things happened to me for a while now. Even though I a physically male (at least on the outside), I have been having strange symptoms. It starts off with tender stingy breasts and a day or so later, I get a dull ache down where the right and sometimes left ovary would be located in a female. Within a day or so, i get a sharp stingy pain that only lasts a few mins or so. After things calm down with my boobs and lower belly within a few days; a few weeks (3 to 5 ish) the whole thing starts over again. I know it's really strange but true. Lol
I went to 2 different Doc's and they didn't really have an answer. I went to another Doc and she did blood work for my testosterone and estrogen levels. She said (well her nurse said) that they were normal. I was diagnosed with gynecomastia. (man boobs) I saw the results for my self and my testosterone was about middle of the road but my estrogen was flagged as high. The range from 10 to 40, mine was 45. Hmmm... Anyway. I also had 2 ultrasounds done. One was for a scrotal (for a spermatocele) and the other for a pelvic. Yes I even had to have a full bladder. Lol I have yet to get the results back and the ultra's were done almost a week ago. It is driving me nuts!
The strange thing is that the symptoms I have, are very similar to when a woman ovulates.
I have always felt and acted as a female all of my life. I am also small boned (even for a girl); I am only 5' 6" and 135lbs.
My mum was also on the DES meds when prego with me.

P.S Does anyone have any good tips on how to ease the annoying inside stingy almost itchy discomfort of the breasts? I feel like I am going through puberty again but worse. Lol A lot of males have temporary gynecomastia when going through puberty.
There is a HUGE difference between acceptance and just being tolerated. Being who you really are and being accepted is awesome, but merely being tolerated for who you are, would be more hell than it's worth. No matter what. Never change who you are for ANYONE because they are not worth it...

You might try an over the counter pain medication because they target the source of the pain and might calm the nerves.

Hi,

If you read through my early posts, you'll see something similar although I was a little more severe.  My testosterone levels dropped.  There was also some testicular swelling that ultimately destroyed them.  My mother took DES as a fertility aid.  I transitioned 17 months ago.

Then, there was another person who experienced almost what you have described.

You have to be you.  The endocrinology department at the Mayo clinic thought they could stop what was going on and keep me male.  That no longer worked for me.

It'up to you and who you are.  Start with Motrin for pain and see a counselor who knows gender issues.

Welcome.

Hugs

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

My doc told me to take ibuprofen, but that didn't work very good; then I took Aleve  yesterday cuz my boobs really hated me and that didn't help much either. Lol I will try the Motrin though.
I am comfortable with who I am on the inside and that's what matters. :) I must admit that I kinda hope they do find female parts in there. At least I would physically match a lil more with my brain. :)
