My professor and I were in the pottery building today loading up his work and we started talking. He popped up and asked who had me so down in the dumps. I looked at him and said, "I guess I have myself down." He started talking about keeping my chin up and asking why I was so down. I simply said "for who/what I am". Well, he kept at it and I ended up telling him about being transsexual. (so far i am still a girl every where but on here) And he actually started joking around with me about it. I was so scared he would get repulsed or something....but he didn't. He totally understood me and cared about my feelings. I'm sooo excited because now I can put Kody on my school papers instead of Keisha.  It turned out to be a great conversation and I'm soooo glad.

Well, just had to tell you guys!!

Same thing with me! I began telling people starting at school, my lesbian friend was showing how she hides her chest while doing drag etc, and seeing how interested instead of repulsed the group was i gained enough of a confidence boost to flat out say everything about myself and have been greatly supported since, even light banter with the group, such as being a member of the gamer club friends pipe off saying "you got owned by a girl!" and being claimed as Misty's little sister now, etc, everyone is so helpful, i was shocked at the reaction! but so glad ever since!

Glad to hear it worked so well for you!

Wonderful, Kody.

It is soooooo liberating to be able to talk to others and to have them accept you.  When I came out to a good male friend he was a bit taken aback but OK.  The next time we were together he said he just decided that me being TG was a stupid reason to lose a good friend.  Now when I see him he always asks how Katherine is.  (I'm still very early in transition.)

Good luck, Kody.  It was a wonderful first step!  Onward! ;D
