I may have been born male but I display some very feminine traits such as nuturing, empathy, and compassion.  I can at times get rather emotional more so now that I am letting the female side come out more. I had to comply with my physical gender (male) for most of my life. But the inner self is decidedly female in most asspects. I really don't think souls have a gender. I belive both male and female can have a little bit of both male traits as well as female traits as Taylor has said males can be just as nuturing, and intuitave.

Just curious, is Owen a female name?

Gee I never really thought about that. I guess it could be. I never came across a female with that name.  I'll have to look that up.

Hi Owen I agree with what you said, it is how you feel inside. To argue the differences of the genders as opposed to the similarities in some of the cases would be like trying to split hairs with a dull ax.  It is how you feel in comparison to the others that are supposed to be of the same sex. I never felt comfortable around men and although I did like to gravitate towards the women I could not completely fit in with them either because they felt uncomfortable with me if I overstayed my welcome in their presence, even though I could identify with them in every way in feelings and thoughts, even down to their PMS and pregnancies.

I hope being new I'm not out of line here but I do have an idea on this. Genesis says man became a living soul but doesn't say what sex that soul is.
The Lord said God is the Father and "he" and such. So even though God has no physical sex as a Spirit, he is still a male Spirit.
David said in Psalm 34:2 My soul shall make HER boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear and be glad.
I tend to believe that since the entire word of God bears witness to Christ Jesus being the man and the husband to the church, or woman we look too much on outward sex and not the unseen spiritual things.
With this in mind I tend to see both male and female having a female soul as the bride of Christ, the male Spirit.
Who knows, maybe man's ego will be the god before our Lord that hinders him. I tend to see MtF transgenders as being very blessed with a female soul and spirit and no male ego to get in the way.
I hope I'm not out of line here being new but I feel we are blessed by looking on the unseen rather than being hung up on that which is seen. I personally enjoy being a girl and his betrothed.

I believe that the soul doesn't have gender, or perhaps that it encompasses all gender.

Since souls are the immaterial part of a person, they are neither male nor female.

Agreed!

Souls transcend gender...

They are spiritual, immaterial things...
