By the end of the third week surgery related discharge stopped.  The only discharge I had was from dilating.  Bruising was almost gone.  Swelling had subsided but was still substantial enough to be noticeable with tight yoga pants on.  Pain was directly related to activity.  Some days I was very active, even to the point of moving furniture and lifting fairly heavy objects (but under 50 pounds).  I paid for that the next day or two.

Today marks the end of week four.  Bruising is gone.  Swelling continues to subside and I think might pass the tight yoga pants test.  :D  The vaginal area looks very good and totally natural.  There are still some stitches I can still see but everything else is healing very well.  Based on the feedback from others, I have healed remarkably fast.  My fiance tells me I am at least 2-3 weeks ahead of her, maybe more.

Dilation is a pain but there's been no evidence of bleeding.  It still owns most of my days though.

Since I have been very active I am wondering if my high activity level has anything to do with my quick healing.  There's no doubt Brassard and his staff would all tell me I'm doing too much.  Pain tells me that too but not until the next day.  The pain is never sharp but does become enough that I find the couch a great place to be.

Sitting is still difficult though.

Mentally and emotionally I couldn't be better.  There's no doubt this was the right choice for me.  And to add to that I have reconnected with my son and it seems my daughter is now following.  I never expected that.

When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

THAT is the weirdest thing...

But, before I left for surgery, the petty slights and indignities tossed my way at work had steadily built.

After I returned from surgery, it suddenly dropped away -- it was now a fait acompli, and there was no way of turning back.  So I guess people just suddenly 'got over' my gender change.

But it took ME two or three months to quit waiting for a now nonexistent other shoe to drop...

Do enjoy your re-connection with your children, mom! ;) :D

I am so glad that you are doing better.  But done overdo it.

And it is so cool about your son and ,most likely, daughter.

Still jealous,
