Ok first I will clarify which surgery he suggested, as my description was lame as heck. Here is the description from the Hudson Guide.
In the peri-areolar method, an incision is made along the entire circumference of the areola. The nipple is usually left attached to the body via a pedicle in order to maintain sensation. Breast tissue is then "scooped out" by scalpel, or with a combination of scalpel and liposuction. The areola may be trimmed somewhat to reduce its size. Excess skin on the chest may also be trimmed away along the circumference of the incision. The skin is then pulled taut toward the center of the opening and the nipple is reattached to cover the opening-- much like pulling a drawstring bag closed. Thus, this procedure is also sometimes referred to as the drawstring or "purse string" technique. The nipple/areola may be repositioned slightly, depending on original chest size and the available skin.
I am going to have another consult to ask specifically where or how he is going to reposition the nipples/aerola as well as nipple resizing. He did say (as mentioned further down in the Hudson Guide) I would need a revision and that that was covered in the price.
Again sorry for my lame description, guess I was so excited. I plan on making better notes next time based on my questions, maybe a note pad would be a good idea. Now that I know what he is suggesting I can also do a bit more research before I go back and know a bit better what to ask him.
His name is Dr Nguyen (SP?) he is here in Portland and I have met people who have used him and been impressed with his results. He has been doing Top Surgery for 19 years, does not have a very good website.
