There has been a rumor floating around that "Electrology 2000" in Texas was closing. I contacted them and they assured me that they are not closing. Jo and Bren Pirano no longer own the business but the shop will continue it's focus on transgender customers and maintain the same electrologists. As I understand it the shop was purchased from Jo and Bren by the staff so nothing changes except the name of the shop and the ownership.
The name of the shop will now be "Electrology 3000" to mark the new millenium. The new website is still under construction and will show the changes in name when it is complete. Until then the "E2k" website is still up and functional.
I personally have visited E2K, now E3K, last summer when my roommate had work done there. The people are very nice, the shop is nice and the service is excellent. If all works out I will be visiting again this summer to have some work done on me this time
For those of you who aren't familiar with this shop it is an electrology landmark in the TG community. Located just outside Dallas, Texas it was founded by Jo and Bren Pirano (who is a member of the TG community) to offer a safe, comfortable, TG focused business that provides "marathon" electrology sessions. They work directly with a physician from the TG community and can use injected anaesthetics to completely numb the face during sessions.
