I made a comment on a recent post on the main page related to hate crimes legislation, and a few of you suggested I write a community post about it -- so here it is!

In my comment, I had suggested that, rather than focus on introducing hate crimes legislation, it might be more effective to use existing domestic anti-terrorism laws to prosecute crimes specifically aimed at oppressing minority groups.
