Trans-related thoughts, through fog of migraine, but still

I don't understand where and when and why the butting of heads came about between some radical feminists and some trans women. And I also am puzzled about why it does seem to mostly be between radical feminists and trans women, not trans men. If trans men have been in these discussions and/or fights online, I haven't seen them. In my ignorance about where this tension originated, my thoughts tend to run along the lines of:

Radical feminists aren't the ones beating trans women of color to death on the street or in the jails or in their homes, so what's with the preoccupation with what some radical feminists think about what trans-ness is and what its potential/actual implications are in connection with male supremacy?
