I absolutely find this post to be faultless? OK, maybe not faultless, but it certainly is on-target. Ms. Prejean has a right to opinions that she finds best for her, even if those opinions sorta violate what I think is right.
Even if, goodness gracious, she decides to participate in meat-market beauty pageants where "Christian values" are much talked about and are maybe held out as they are: there is no place for women to speak or act in the churches being but one. The dichotomy between wanting women to be "pure" and yet as long as they are showing off breasts and long legs for a beauty contest that they are somehow exampling "what women should be."
The nastiness that's been brought down on her is simply abhorrent to me. Criticize her opinions if you will and there are things that can certainly be taken apart in the opinions. But to make these personal attempts at silencing her simply because she's a woman and using the "masculinist" views of what people presume to be her church affiliations is just way past wrong, imo.
