I wanted to be a mermaid so terribly bad when I was 5... I cried and cried. I'm finally getting there. Thanks for looking. :)

That is simply amazing! How did you create that? What medium? Digital? Paint?  And do you have a deviantart site? :)

thank you :) It's 3d models rendered on an HP with a turbocharged graphics card and 4 gig ram? With some post-render tweaking in a 2D program. Sorry, I do have a deviantart site but prefer not to post the link here for privacy reasons. :)

Here's another mermaid, I censored the top for family viewing. ;) Ariel all grown up...

Chloe,
Your talent amazes me. that last one is just breath taking!

Beautiful. I especially like the second one... the expression on her face.

Maya or a different program for the 3D?  I'm going to guess Photoshop for the 2D work (please correct me if I'm wrong).

thanks again to everyone for your nice comments. :)

Modeling is done in Silo (fish tail and fins), some by other artists (notably the fish and helmet), I created the doll faces and body shapes, some textures, set up, poses, lighting, and scene arrangement; I did the rendering and some magnet work in Poser 7, and 2D is actually Photopaint rather than Photoshop. In my work my partners and I create and sell 3D models which is our real art; most of the image work I do is making promos for the models but I like creating actual artistic scenes when I can. I tried Lightwave once but it was hopelessly complicated and I'm a Chlo-bear of little brain. ??? Silo is more like working with clay. I just like playing with dollies

Thanks for explaining your tools. I had bought poser and lightwave once and found it too complicated and gave up on it. Feel free to post others you make here...PLEASE!!!!

There are a lot of characteristics I like about each one of these. I can't tell if my absolute favorite is the beautiful hands on the first one or the incredible eyes on the second one.  I just adore these. I would buy full sized prints of these.
