Nice, Steph. I'm jealous too :) Not of a kiss from a guy, but the same from a woman

Pucker up girls in case I make it to Susan's Fest '06!

Thanks for the sweet comments everyone, you guys are great.

On the topic of this age thingy, I am a firm believer in that we have only one life to live (my opinion so don't turn this into a religious thread or I'll zap y'all :)  ) and we might just as well live it to it's fullest, have the most fun we can, take advantage of everyone and everything thing that comes our way (in a nice way of course).  It makes no sense to me to be lying on your death bed (provided I get that far and I'm not hit by a school bus) thinking to yourself... "self... I wish I had done that", better to die contented, worn out, used up, with a happy heart, than a broken one :)

I know that I'm a bit of a flirt, well a big flirt, I like to go out and dance the night away, in the arms of a gentleman, I like nice cloths and I like to look good.  Some think that I act too young for my age, heck at 54 I'm in the prime of life, healthy as a horse, and raring to go :) so look out cause I'm a coming.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd if any of the gentlemen here would care to trip the light fantastic and you happen to be in my neck of the woods, give me a shout as I know a few places that will knock your socks off (but that's all that will get knocked off) :)

Chat later everyone.

How far are you from Ottawa, Steph? I have a friend who's having a baby who lives there and I'm considering heading out there after the birth for entertainment value (my friend is an absent-minded genius, so I want to see how many times she leaves home and forgets the baby or feeds herself the bottle and leaves a cup of coffee on the table for the baby).

I'm about 2 hours away, so let me know a date as soon as you get sorted and we'll try to hook up.  That would be a hoot eh!  We always have a spare room and a bed for friends who visit, geese I may even make you breakfast :)

That's kind of like this quote:
Quote
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely
in an attractive and well preserved body,
But rather to skid in sideways,
chocolate in one hand,
wine in the other,
body thoroughly used up,
totally worn out and screaming
"WOO HOO what a ride!"

Aha, Tink you are very observant aren't you LOL :)  He sent me an email on Friday asking if I was going to be at the club, and of course I said yes :)  It was a pretty good night lots of dancing and in between sets we again sat on the patio and chatted about stuff, but just really enjoying each others company, he even got his hair cut and I told him it looked really nice.  At one point he asked me to go with him to a motorcycle show this weekend but unfortunately I already had plans :( rats.  But that's ok, it's not the end of the world.  I noticed that there were a couple of other guys paying attention to me but it's hard to say whether it's because of my tattoos or if it's because of me.   I like to think it's because of me.  I've noticed that I'm so much more expressive on the dance floor now where as before it would take at least 4 to 5 beers before anyone could convince me to dance.  Now I only drink soft-drinks and I have a ball.  At the end of the night it ended with a kiss on the cheek and a hug agreeing to meet next week.  I had a feeling that he wanted to kiss me on the lips but I'm afraid that I'm really not ready to move it to that level right now.

Soooooooo another wonderful night

QuoteAha, Tink you are very observant aren't you

Yes, I'd say I'm extremely observant (maybe plain nosy is the right adjective :D)

QuoteBut that's ok, it's not the end of the world.

Actually it is more exciting this way; you don't want to look desperate either ;)

QuoteI like to think it's because of me.

Sure it is because of you!  I'd find it hard to believe that men just look at you because of your tattoos; besides being an attractive woman, you also have a great attitude towards life, and men sense that very quickly.

QuoteAt the end of the night it ended with a kiss on the cheek

That's so sweet!

QuoteI had a feeling that he wanted to kiss me on the lips

*giggles*  I'm sure he did!  :icon_redface:  personally, I think that a little kiss on the lips does not mean major commitment really, but I can see and understand your point.

QuoteSoooooooo another wonderful night

I am happy for you! :)

Quoteagreeing to meet next week

*giggles again*  I'll be waiting for the updates ;) ;D

yeah....you did have a marvelous night....maybe next time you will purposely lose one of your glass slippers so that he can knock door by door trying to find you!  :D That's wonderful news, Steph.  I'm glad you posted about this topic again....

I was just looking over some older posts and found this one.....

Two things I remember about my first kiss....

1, the mustache was like a bristle brush to my makeup....

and 2, the completely unexpected sensation of feeling something long and hard pressed against my abdomen......

It still gives me a flush....!

You (and I) will get more of 'em.....

Cheers!
