http://www.fangoriaonline.com/blogs/gay-of-the-dead/2424-gay-of-the-dead-12-writerdirectoractor-alan-rowe-kelly-part-1.htmlIn this first of a two part interview, Kelly and I talk about his being writer, producer, director and star of his first two features. We start, however, with the question that I'm sure popped into your heads much as it did mine after opening his press kit...
SEAN ABLEY: Let's start with the obvious. I remember when you first contacted me, you sent me your films and some promotional material, and as I was looking it over, I tried to figure out which person was Alan Rowe Kelly. This was before I actually watched the films. I ended up emailing you and asking if you were gay, and you responded, "And, OH, YEAH...I'M GAY...LOL! That big blonde in A FAR CRY FROM HOME is me!" At that point I was all, "OK, he performs in drag. Awesome!" And then I started poking around your Facebook page and found shots of you...I don't want to say "in drag," but definitely livin' life like a lady (how's that for alliteration?) So what's the scoop? I've really come to hate labels, but can you put yourself in context for the readers playing along at home?
