Good question.
No-one has ever asked this of me, nor expected it, not even my parents (I'm actually *not* doing what Mum wants me to do, which is to get a government job), and anything I've ever not enjoyed I've not put any effort into and gone well enough without doing spectacularly. I didn't give a toss about maths at school, and did enough to not fail (though even that happened a few times
). I like what I'm studying (Spanish), I find what we're doing at the moment inherently interesting (the discovery, violence and humanity of the conquest of the Americas), so it's not like what I'm currently doing, or doing generally, is pointless or worthless, given that the whole violence-humanity conflict doesn't seem to have changed much in the last few centuries, or indeed millennia. What I'm doing is purely of my own volition. It's just...constant, I guess. Which is alright, I'm hopeless over the summer holidays when uni's on holidays.
I'm just having fun complaining, and was wondering if anyone felt like doing the same.
