Protections for transgender people were denied in New Hampshire. Here is a link to the article.

Why are cis people so obsessed with going to the loo?  Every single discussion or debate over rights for TG and TS people seems to end up in the toilet... literally.

I know what you mean. I hate when they use women and children for their own purposes. THe sad fact is that what they say is not true. The other fact is if you ask the average person what being transgender is, they don't have a clue.

I was surprised when the bill was referred to in this manner.

Exactly. There is so going on in the world. But people want to argue over a place they might only be in for 3/5 minutes at max.. *rolls eyes*

The reason why gay marriage will pass before transgender rights is that the gender construct is not challenged. When the binary construct is challlenged it makes people think what masculinity and femininty really is.

The stuff society is handled down on what it is to be feminine or masculine is to me short sighted and limiting. Not everybody is going to fit into that box. IMHO, many transgender people have committed suicide or suffer from depression because people will not accept them for who they really are. I'm 60 years old and I have yet to meet a male whose manly masculine or femme feminine.

A man who marries a man or a woman who marries a woman are challenging gender binaries.

Same with our campus rights business that was going on a month ago.  Someone argued that it was fiscally irresponsible to be focusing on trans rights because making new bathrooms was so expensive.

First of all, we need to protect trans people from being fired, failed from classes, and denied admission more than we need to make unisex/gender-neutral bathrooms (because we already have some in existence and a list of them is available).  But making such a bathroom is as complicated as making a new sign that goes over the men's or women's sign.  --rolls eyes--  People can be so ridiculous.

Lawl.  Awesome.

I think you should spam conservative e-mails with that image.

I'm joking of course.
