So, anyway, I'm 7 months post-op via Brassard. And I noticed that I have two dimples on either side of my girly parts, along where the scars are (the scares are barely visible at this point), and around the public bone -- so if you stand in the mirror, you can see them. I am figuring that it will eventually go away, and I'm not uber freaking out about it -- although I have a friend who's at 9 months and was mentioning the same little dimple thingies. I've seen it before on another girl, but through Manard who was 8 mnths post-op (an ex gf of mine).

Do those go away? Anyone else experience them?

I'm not sure if it's a brassard thing or not. I'm guessing that it's just some excess puffiness around the tissue, and probably has to do with the internal scarring (which takes longer to heal then external scars). At this point, I just gently massage the area to hopefully break down any internal scaring, inflamed tissue, swelling, or what ever it is.

Its where the drain tubes were inserted.

I'm Brassard too but those marks dissapeared in the first month.

But if you look closely I still have a scar line within the inner labia where I guess thin penile skin was sewn onto much thicker scrotal skin ... but WTF ... I've had guys give me oral and not notice !

I had the same dimples, I was a patient of Dr Menard in Canada. The dimple went away on the left side but never went away on the right side. Over the years the dimple on the right side enlarged a little bit and sometimes blood or other fluid would seep out of it. It was kind of gross to me because it had a not very pleasant odor. After about 8 years of this I finally went to a urologist and had a minor surgery to fix this. It wasn't painful. I think it had something to do with scar tissue that was constricting. I always had this slightly unpleasant pulling sensation on the right side.

I was checking my vagina the other day & noticed three separate indentations in either side of the midline at the vaginal apex.  I haven't been to a doctor because I'm not in the UK at this moment but someone said it could be related to a possible vaginal prolapse.  Can anyone shed light on this?  I'm a Suporn's girl btw.

May I ask how long you've been post-op? According to what I know, if you've been a few monthes post-op, it's really rare or almost impossible to have vaginal prolapse or collapse.

I'm wondering when you girls said dimples, if it's something like introcession, pitting or umbilicated? I'm a Brassard girl too, 2 years post-op. I find I have 2 small convex (instead of pitting)  scar lines on each sides of the pubic area, where if I leave some pubic hair trimmed (not totally shaved) , they can be hidden. Actually it's not so obvious, only when I touch there carefully, I can feel them. I consulted this to Dr. Brassard, and he said it's pretty normal, and it hanppens depending on different people's skin types. It can be solved by injecting a kind of medicine liquid (don't remember the name), or cutting them by a small surgry. I showed that to my mom, and she told me in her opinion it's not necessary to do anything for that at all. It's just a mini problem, that doesn't really deserve to take any risk to remove it. I receive oral there often, no one has ever mentioned anything about it.

If you've been post op for more than 6 months, there's no need to fret about vaginal prolapse.  Dimples are normal during the first 3 months after GRS. I had them myself but as someone already said, they are the marks of the insertion of the vaginal catheters & ought to disappear on their own. Best thing is to check with a doctor no matter where you are at the moment.

May I ask how long you've been post-op?

I've been post-op since last November.

Here's my update, the indentations are still there. I also came up with a rubbing feeling up higher inside the vagina when I bent over to pick something up etc. Had no choice but to go to a urogyno here and he said everything inside looked perfect and he couldn't imagine what I could be feeling. He also said he'd never heard of another patient with these symptoms after surgery. So he referred me to a physical therapist who specializes in the pelvic floor. I've seen her 4 times so far and she said some of my pelvic muscles are very tight and perhaps this could be causing my discomfort. But she's never had a patient with this problem either. The good news is that it isn't prolapse & the rubbing feeling's going away, the bad news is that the indentations haven't disappeared but maybe they'll go away by themselves like you all said. When I go back to the UK I'll get it checked out again by my own doctor. Thank you all for your replies.

oooh, I'm a year post op and still have dimples. Well, I notice them anyway. My boyfriend doesn't mind, however.

Also, I have been told that I'm smooth-ish inside (well, I can feel it too), but not sure if that goes way. Although, it seems to be changing, actually. It's weird, in the two months I started to notice a bunch of little changes, where nothing changed much before. *shrugs*

I know I self lube really well. I've had pretty comfortable sex without lube, actually. So, that's a good thing.

What the heck are "vaginal catheters"?

Are you talking about the places where three sutures were put in to retain the vaginal packing?
These should disappear very quickly unless you really put a strain on them for the week that they were in.

I thought that this discussion was about drains inserted during surgery for blood.
It appears that some women got two drains, one on each side, others have only gotten one, some had none.
The different layers inside get stuck together so that when you lean forward a dimple appears.

How can they feel you are smooth-ish inside? Don't you use protection for penetration sex?

eh-hem, fingers! (as Matilda pointed out). Also, I'm bi, so I've had gf and I've also put my fingers inside myself as well, and I know what other women feel like. It varies woman to woman, however. With a penis, a boy doesn't notice if if the vaginal walls are smooth-ish or not inside (condom or not).
