Gender Identity: Should we let kids be who they are 'inside'?

I recently came across a story that challenged a long held notion of mine: the belief that we should allow young people to express who they are freely, and with our support as freethinking parents.  So, when I was introduced to this young boy from Omaha, Nebraska, who wanted to live life as a girl, I had to take some time to process things.  Try as I might,  I couldn't get the video the embed properly to the blog.  You'll have to follow the link here and watch the video.  (Note: The boy pictured left is not the same boy in the video)
