To the Editor:

As to other reasons for having "gender neutral" bathrooms, let me repeat here what I recently shared with some members of the campus facilities group.

"Transgender people do not use or require 'gender neutral' bathrooms to make them feel more comfortable. To the contrary, we (some of us) will use those bathrooms because of other people's acceptance issues. It appears somehow our lives are all about them. We know which bathrooms we should use."

Look at us, see us, it should be obvious. And for those who have issues, we really are only there to pee, just like you.
