Adding "Sexual Orientation" to Hate-crime Statutes

It's ironic that secularists will accuse traditionalists of being hung
up on sex, when they are the ones who cannot stop talking about it and
reducing it to the stuff of entertainment — and legislating on it.

As for the last matter, their latest effort is H.R. 1913, the Local
Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act, which the House of
Representatives passed on April 29 by a vote of 249-175. Known as the
"Matthew Shepard Act" in the Senate, the bill would add "sexual
orientation" as a protected class in federal hate-crime statutes.
