This doesn't surprise me. I know my perception of color changed on estrogen.  I drove past the same red wall every day for 5 years.  A few weeks into HRT I drove past the wall and was aware that each individual panel of the wall was a slightly different shade of red.  There were differentiations of the colors that I had never been able to perceive before then.
