My therapist has okayed me to start hormones, but the VA has stated that the only way they will help with hormones is if it is a life threatening issue.  However Boston VA just prescribes it.  Anyone else have this problem

I might be wrong here, as I havent even thought about starting hormones, but if your therapist OKs the hormones then dont you have to find someone to prescribe them?  Someone like an Endocrinologist?  After that its just a prescription, your VA Pharmacy or neighborhood Military Treatment Facility pharmacy should just fill it.

The va is my primary DR. So my therapist is going to talk to my Dr. So that my therapist can set me up with another DR.
