Woman spots man in bra rummaging through her car
http://www.wral.com/news/strange/story/5335232/

A man has been charged after a neighbor said she found him wearing a purple bra and boxer shorts while rummaging through her car.

I am thinking that some form of substance abuse may have been involved.

The news media just loves covering stories like this, so sensational.  And so easy to use to turn people off.

Nameless here for evermore!;  Merely this, and nothing more;
Tis the wind and nothing more!;  Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore!!"

They can't be bothered to point it when a thief wears gender-conforming clothes, right?  It's the sort of petty crime (maybe digging for more clothes) that wouldn't even be reported if it couldn't be sensationalized.

I think this story is fishy.  Why did the guy have access to her house to get the keys?  Sheesh!  All they seem to be interested in is the bra.  I be there are 20 billion bras in this universe,  so what if one of them we on him?

Looking at the charges I have to think that he broke into her home, dressed, grabbed the keys, and then went for the car.

I still say that some kind of substance abuse was involved. Also funny that they mentioned the color of the bra. I would so buy a cheap purple bra and leave it in his mailbox.

Dog bites man, not news. Man bites dog, now thats news.

Actually it looks like this got picked up by the AP Wire Services. Thats why a NC TV station is covering a Michigan story, on their website.

If a so called "normal thief" had done this, hitting the police blotter section of the local paper would have been the end of the story. However the "man bites dog" element is the CD side of the story. Hence probably made the local section of that town in MI newpaper and then got picked up by the AP.

The steak is the story, the sizzle is the headline. It's the sizzle/headline that moves the paper/story.

In our next story, we cover the nationalization bailout of the newspaper industry.
