Lateisha Green is dead.  She is dead, it is believed, because someone hated her on the basis of her gender identity.  And now, whether because of transphobia, racism or misogyny — or my best guess, a mixture of all three — the media can't even be bothered to mark the beginnings of the trial for her alleged murderer.  Not with so much as a single word.
