Heyo,
New here and wondering if anyone has tips for disguising the shape of hips? I tried working out like crazy.... all I have to show for it is incredible tone.... and a SUPER thin waist as a result. My hip bones just don't get an smaller, I'm stuck at 36 inches at the fullest part of my hips.... which sucks pretty hard because my waist size dips down as far as 25 when I exercise consistently. I experimented with NOT working out, which only made me feel crummy and increased the size of my hips and only added an inch or son around the midsection.
I'm here begging for help on how to disguise my huge hips or, preferably, make my stomach bigger......   :'(

first off, are you on T and for how long?

I'm not on T, I start next month.

I'm afraid to say it, but working out won't make your hip bones any smaller. You're stuck with them.

But the good news is, that once you start T, your fat will redistribute to your mid section, and your upper body will increase in size - making your waist bigger and you hips *look* smaller by comparison :)

Do you think that it will create a noticeable enough change? It really sucks to have all your guy friends tell you not to worry because you are "really hot...."
So far, working out has made my back look a little broader, but all it does is make my waist look smaller, which in turn makes my hips look bigger.
These hips have become the bane of my existence..... :P

It should help. Your tiny waist right now is making them stick out in comparison.

Thanks.

Wear Dickies.  They are the ultimate hip hiders.

Hmm, a nice suggestion, but I'm not a big fan of hiding them entirely....
I like wearing low slung, fitted pants and fitted tops.... you know, the whole Steven Tyler look.
I suppose I just have to accept the hand I've been dealt and wear baggy clothes, huh?

You can't pull of male heroin-chic with a curvy female body.  It just doesn't work.  Your body will probably change a lot on T, so you can either deal 'til it changes or do what you can to hide them.  That was the point of this post, right?

Go to www.underworks.com. They have different binders there for men and FTMs that might help reshape your hips, waist and butt some. I haven't tried them but I do know their chest binders are good.

I also have huge hips and a small waist.  Pre-T, I had the same 10" difference you have: 38.5" hips and a 28.5" waist.  I would heartily recommend working your oblique muscles at the gym.  Y'know, the abdominal muscles at your sides; fill those out a bit and it will make your waist larger.  It also takes away that 'hourglass' look.  I have a 31" waist at 5 months on T.  I can't say how much of that is belly fat vs. oblique muscle, though.  Some of both.  I seem to have lost that 'hip shelf'--y'know how women will balance a bag of groceries or whatever on their hipbone to carry it more easily?  Yeah, can't really do that any more, but I forget and do it anyways.  So whatever it is just continues to slide downwards.  Then I drop it.  Thankfully it's easier to carry stuff in my arms now.

In the meantime... baggy pants worn low on the hips tend to disguise things pretty well.  Looks a bit sloppy, but *shrug*

Like Radar mentioned, you could try using the compression shorts from underworks.

"Firm Compression Shorts
Wear these for hip shaping! Made from a heavy gauge nylon Lycra® spandex knit, cut to match the contours of your body and stretch with you in all directions, these compression shorts provide you with tight masculine hips, shapely rear and firm thighs. "

It sounds like what your looking for.
