"Define Me": Special Guest Contributor Shellie R.

http://lorisrevival.blogspot.com/2009/06/define-me-special-guest-contributor.html

The first question asked of me is almost always "Does this make you a lesbian?"

And my answer is always "Not that I'm aware of."

The confusion that my relationship with Randi creates in this world is undeniable. That we don't fit neatly into a traditional gender binary marriage is maddening for people. First of all, that Randi is transgendered blows people's minds. But then to find out that Randi is legally married is completely out of the question. And then to find out that we were married for 7 years in what society considers a "normal" heterosexual relationship before Randi began transition shocks even more.
