Imitation woman

Yesterday night I had a drinking party with four of my male colleagues here. I wore red lipstick, and two of them first saw my wearing lipstick. I could feel that they were a little perplexed.

So, I proposed a toast by saying like:

"Here is no lady, so I will serve your guys as a pretty girl. But admittedly I am a little bit sorry that I am an imitation woman."

They burst into a roar of laughter. I used a vogue and slang Korean word corresponding to 'imitation', which is usually used here for denoting Chinese imitation products.

After eating dinner, my lipstick was almost erased, and I applied again before moving to another place. They noticed it. Anyway, we had a happy time.

I am not quite sure, but they treated me as usual. Whatever I wear, my inner side is more important to them than my outer appearance. There are a few colleagues who sometimes say I look womanly even when I wear plain clothes.

 I love how other languages have nuances that just dont translate well into English. But then, I'm sure that English has some advantages as well or it wouldnt be so commonly spoken outside of England and its old colonies.

Yes. Korean is a nuance-oriented language.

I think English is very logic and flexible as it accomodates Latin, Greek, French, German, Spanish and even Japanese. As I can write the both languages, my opinion is that English is stronger at noun and verb, and good in scientific paper whereas Korean is stronger at adjective and adverb, good at writing poem. Korean language has the richest onomatopoeia among world languages, followed by Japanese.
