My son asked me what I want for Father's Day.  I suggested that he treat this as a second Mother's Day.  Absolutely no ties!

My parents are dead, my kids are grown and long gone, my wife is off working (she works at the college) at her college graduation, so I'm here alone.

That is fine with me, I don't celebrate fathers day anyway.  That was a different part of my life.

Both Mom and Dad are gone now.  Children are in the four corners of the US, and my ex is getting ready to move to a new town.  So I am alone, about to head to work. ~sighs~
