I'm thinking about plucking my beard this weekend and had some questions.

Once I pluck the entire beard, will I be able to manage it daily?

Does it grow back all at once?

I figured if it grew back in sporadic places I could get a daily routine going to keep up the maintenence.

I'm I thinking correctly? Will this work to make more passable by eliminating the 5'oclock shadow?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Plucking your whole beard? Wow. I'm not sure that sounds like a great idea. There's a reason why it's a bad idea to wax there for a guy, and plucking amounts to the same thing only slower. Male beard hair is a lot courser and the follicles are a lot larger than female facial hair.

I would think you risk some pretty serious scarring from accidental tearing of the skin if you try to remove your beard that way. Have you checked up on the safety of this somewhere before? Is there some reason why something like laser or electrolysis isn't available to you?

Plucking your hair is NEVER A GOOD IDEA. It will cause the hair to come back thicker. It will make it harder to permanently remove your hair in the future.

Actually that's not really true. I've heard that for years but in all honesty there is no science that proves that it does. I epilate my arms and legs and if any thing the hair growth has slowed way down and gotten lighter.

Yeah, since I started plucking (Too long ago to remember for sure) a few years ago anyway. The hairs have thinned. Most have returned to nearly peach fuzz stage and are hard to even see. Some stopped growing back at all. But there are a few of those thick holdouts that are easy to spot and pluck first. I need a magnified mirror to get the others

The hair will thin out, not get thicker. The bad part is if you get electrolysis, it will become more difficult. Plucked hair does not always grow back straight, making it more difficult. If you are only going to have laser, then it's fine, but laser pretty much only works on light skin with dark hair. If you have any gray, you will need electrolysis to get them all.

Also, plucking the neck and mustache HURTS!

I just purchased a Vector Pro Electrolysis kit! I was thinking about plucking at one time then thought about buying a tria beauty home laser but decided against it.  If I am going to pluck it I don't want that sucker to come back.
