Both lawmakers and transgender advocates are optimistic about ENDA passage this year.  "I think we're in good shape on it," said Frank, in an interview Monday with PrideSource Michigan. "The transgender community -I will credit," said Frank. "I wish other people in the community were following them. ...They did the grassroots lobbying very well."

It's nice to see we are getting recognition for the work we're doing.  Let's hope this bill passes.

A lot of people think trans folks are all hiding. The truth is we are everywhere, we just don't stick out like a sore thumb. Barney Frank went from wanting to exclude us from ENDA to this. It's nice to finally get the recognition we deserve.
