Hi Loni, nice "necro-post." I wouldn't expect a response from the original poster, since this happened over two years ago and that person isn't around anymore. ;)

But "disguising my identity"? How ridiculous. I'm not "disguising" a thing. When I go to a bar or liquor store, I show the same state-issued legal ID as I show cops. I've had no problem. Nonetheless, I avoid places like Kentucky on general principle and for personal preservation.
All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.

Try being Black or Hispanic.
I tried. But they wouldn't believe me for some reason

Yeah, racial or other bigoted stuff is a bummer. The few times I lived in Mexico
My name was either Wada or Blondie

Try being a redheaded "Patty" transsexual trucker.

Now that that has had time to sink in, what
prejudicial, stereotypes did that conjure up?

"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

Having worked as an EMT at one time.  Depending on the circomstances, clothing would be remove to better access the body, wound inspections, heart attacks, present of blood not from facial wounds.  Same with pantyhose.

Always have a carry letter that explains your situation, in case you are not capable to communicate.
