Oh, Pam Spaulding, this is really unforunate:

    2) I have no problem with the term "cis" (nor do Autumn or Louise); the issue is cis was being weaponized against fellow commenters in the thread. That takes something — to turn a word into an insult for debate effect, but it happened.

There's denial, there's dodging responsibility, there's evading sincere apologies, but then there's creating an entire new form of derailing and stigmatizing. "Weaponize" is a cowardly attack on trans women while evading any chance of accepting personal responsibility.
