Having seen my endo on the 6th, I have had a lot of experience (is there a smiley that is getting sick??) with the stuff.
My endocrinologist read a series of tests that my regular internist had done about 60 days ago, and a couple done by my hematologist back on June 28. Two quick questions about the hematology and what it was for, then it was take off my shirt and drop my underwear. (Nary a blink that it was lacy nylon underwear.) An external and internal examination of my lower pelvic zone (Don't drink iced tea or coffee before your appointment, prostate checks can trigger leakage from an adjacent organ.) along with measurements of two pieces of tissue in the crotch area. One more time "do you really want to take hormones?", YES!!!
With my "older age"

, the dosage will be low to start with. Take the pills ONLY ONE per day. Have lab tests done in 90 days and see him two weeks later!!
I have been a good "girl" since then, and while I have seen no real physical change, by the second dose, my mental outlook and some feelings of this being the right thing to do have been awesome. I do notice a slight change in my sense of smell, as was noted above, and it is interesting. I look in a mirror and even in boy mode see someone I like for the first time in ages.
