The autobiography of your life has become a best seller......

You are approached by a film company who want to make a film of your life....

Money is no objective.....

You are asked to provide assistance..

OK...3 Questions.

1. What would be the title you choose for the film & why
2. Who best (as a leading man / woman) would you choose to play you & why
3. What would the genre be (Horror, comedy, drama)

Mine will be revealed later, but in the meantime....

Thinking caps on ...

Oooooh...very good topic Buffy.  I can't wait to see the responses so I'll throw mine in.

1. Title and why"Run, Walk, Crawl..Searching for a Rainbow" Why? Because this is the title of my book that I plan to write someday.  It comes from my personal qoute "When I come to the rainbow road I shall run when I can, walk when I must and crawl when I can do neither."

2.  Leading Man/WomanRenee Zellweger.  Why? Because she has a kind of odd facial feature that people say I have. She has the ability to go from comedic acting to drama in a heartbeat and for better or worse that's my life...More people say I look like Courtney Love but there ain't no way she's playing me.

3.  Genre of film?  Without a doubt drama....some comedy obviously would have to be included but all in all my life has been a series of traumatic events and heartbreak of every color and shape.  The comedy is included because on those rare times when I'm feeling good people say I'm hilarious....although I think they only say this because it's gets them closer to my Twizzler supply <looks around suspiciously>  :icon_suspicious:

P.S. Anyone who steals my title or qoute will be subsequently hunted down and face the dreaded "Death By Twizzler"!!!!  Oh you think it's not gonna be that bad until the third bag..by then you're ready to give up every secret you've known since kindergarten.  Muah ah ah ah ha

<scribbles "Tinkerbell" on my list>  I'll tell you what the list is for later MUAH AHA AHA AH. :icon_chainsaw:

Just kidding...Heh heh

The title would be, of course, the same as my autobiography!  Squirrel Cage.  That's simple.

The film would be a surreal presentation... Something along the lines of Brazil, Buckaroo Bonzai, or Kill Bill. You know serious but with a real campy attitude. I'd like some really dark humor.. but hilariously funny. So the film would be a dramedy.

I don't know who I 'd like to play the honor roll.  But the principal would be a guy. Nothing against women playing my MTF roll, but since I like to buck the norm, I'd vote for a good looking guy who can also dress up nice.

Squirrel would be an real character but animated... something like the piggy in
Babe, but a squirrel.

Yea... that would work really nice.  Anyone care to take my project and run with it?

Expect a phone call from Stephen Speilberg any time now Honey....

BUT...you need a leading Man!

The guy who played "Frank" in Father of the bride is my choice.....

1) the lost boy
2) since James Dean is dead (sob!), I think I'd go with Hayden Christenson.
3) genre... hmmm... comedy drama. While I'm a massive horror film fan, it just hasn't gotten that bad for me (thank god!)

Must compliment you on the choice of topics, though, Buffy; as a film freak, I highly respect this. I could elaborate forever on the film of my life, but I'll save that for a later date (or if people have questions!)

Thanks Rafe,

Films are one of my passions..... Thursday Night is MOVIE night.

Today it is a double header... American Haunting and Fragile: a ghost story

I love horror, scared to death and watch most films peering through a jumper.

But keep going back...

I am sure a movie of my life would fit into the "Carry On" series with ease (US people probably have no idea about what I am talking about here - but maybe thats good :)    )

The original cast would do pretty well also I suspect

Rana
  •

Brianna

"The girl from Outer Space"
Also played by Kira Keightly
Basically, the plot would be the same as Barbarella.
  •

Dennis

"What a Long, Strange Trip it's Been"
Gary Burghoff of course (for all of you who've commented on my picture, the guy who played Radar O'Reilly in MASH)
Comedy

Dennis

grazia

Jodie Foster
Stanley Kubrick

OK...I started this thread, so I will now add my own reply.

Film Name: The never ending road: A journey across the great gender divide

Lead Characters: Playing the Male role: Alan Alda (from MASH), Playing the Female role: Uma Thurman

Genre: It would definitely be a spoof horror, a miriad of shock and squeemish parts with lots of laughter as the film goes to its conclusion.

It would of course be the first of a trilogy, the second in the series being a drama and the last being a fairy story.....

The last line of course...

And they all lived hapilly ever after...The princess married her prince charming
