DHT blocker to be applied directly to the hair?

Is there such a thing, and would it help to prevent male pattern baldness as it often occurs in FTMs on T?  I don't mind if I do inevitably lose my hair, but I would like to avoid it, as there is some male pattern baldness in my family.  I obviously don't want to block DHT entirely... Not at all... But just on the hair follicles.

Any experience with this?  And is there a product akin to this on the market at all?
