If it is just the body of a woman that you want then maybe you should reconsider if you really want to transition.  Transitioning is a process about helping you become more comfortable about who you are on the inside really.  You want to be recognized as who you are and you want people to acknowledge the gender you wish to be a part of.  The physical things are nice but that isn't the main reason to change yourself.  I would advise against transitioning for you.

to be more correct live as a woman but don't act female
hard to describe.

Well as an SO, rather than someone transitioning, I'm curious - so if may I ask a question,  with which gender do you identify mentally - or is it somewhere in-between?   What is it that drives you to look female but not *be* female?

I hope you don't mind the question, I'm still learning about a lot of this and you seem to be "somewhere else" in the transgender spectrum, hence my interest.

If living as a woman means you want to wear the clothes of a woman, I would guess you want to crossdress.  Many people do that.

If living as a woman means relating to those around you as a woman, I would guess you want to be a woman.

Or is it that you want to be a woman but not fall into a number of female behavioral styles that women have develped over the years to cope with society's forcing them into a subordinate, powerless position?

Rereading your first post, perhaps you want to retain the male role while having, what is to you, the more attractive look of a woman?

I didn't believe in the male/female binary and for years wanted to be somewhere between - neither and both.  As I began moving in that direction, though, I realized I want to be a woman as much as possible - including the body and the relationship to others, even the sexual harrassment if I had to.  I want to live as a woman, period.  I've met a few people who seem to be able to live in the in-between, but I think it is very difficult and may perhaps turn out to be part of a transition for them.

Yes dear, talk to your therapist. There are all shades on the gender spectrum, and a therapist can help you figure out where you fit into that overall scheme of things. You don't have to be exclusively one gender or the other.

On the other hand, hormones change brain chemistry as well. Nothing says you have to be a girly girl. But no doubt our brains do change as our bodies change, and a lot of how we act genderwise is social conditioning more than hardwired gender identity.

Behavior its not gender. So you can be female and your behavior being masculine. Tomboys its one way to describe a person that its like that.

Nothing out of the ordinary
