I was doing my normal rounds through the Internet looking up news when I came upon an article that lead me to the video below:

Liberty Vox Pop Death

So what do you guys think?

I don't condone the alleged theft of this statue for a moment.  The video is actually a rather crafty bit of symbolism and the ironic intelligence in it may be completely inadvertent and lost on the originators - I have no idea.  I guess it's designed to get exactly the reaction you see in the comments, which is (as usual) flypaper for morons.

Mister

I say scrap her.  The statue of liberty stands as a symbol of a value this country no longer holds.  Also, it is made of copper, which has skyrocketed in value.  60,000 pounds will fetch quite a bit on the scrap market.
