"T" visibility in LGBT has come far in the last 40 years! Photographers have also used such themes in their work, and a very prominent one is Mariette Pathy Allen.  Her books Transformations: Crossdressers and Those Who Love Them and The Gender Frontier explore such issues as cross-dressing and gender identity.  At a recent meeting, Mariette and I spoke about this direction in her photography and the impact it has had on the general public and in her own personal life.
