probably will break you then. but there are surgeons who do the two step procedure so you don't need a labiaplasty. and how do you know you'll need a tummy tuck and breast augmentation?

i was listing examples for the cost i dont know but its still a factor until it becomes known. the point i need to make is that how can i afford this surgery.
  •

Nero

well, i would focus on which one is the most important to you. are you on HRT? cause that can impact how much surgery you'll need.

Costs for everything are dependent on what you want, who you go to, where, etc.  You might want more or less done than someone else.  Like "FFS" isn't one procedure, there are lots of things that can be done to feminize the face, and plenty of people don't pursue any of it.  You won't have to do everything all at once, although if you can combine similar procedures that will save a bit, and there are loans.

There are also hidden costs you might not consider, like being out of work for a couple weeks (or more), post-procedure care (or travel expenses for a friend/family member), transportation, hotel stay, etc.

HRT often relieves the anxiety. My therapist thought I needed it for my well being not just for the physical stuff, and he was right. I know the pain can be overwhelming, but you don't want to die as your current gender with your current body - right? So think logically. Think how much you can save a month, a week. Plan.

i guess your right nero... i dont want to die as this disgusting guy. but at the same time i really dont want to have to continue to live as one either like why does everything have to take so long. why do i have to prove to ppl that i want the surgery i mean this gender counselor says i need to go through HRT and dress and act like a woman for a year... i already act like a girl and half the time im dressed as one. it just doesnt seem fair or right that it costs so much money for someone in a critical situation to be happy

I completely understand. But this is the easiest, safest route. Are you in therapy with a licensed gender therapist?
Try to enjoy this time. I know it's a rush to be 'right', to fix everything, but think of this as your real puberty. Enjoy this time. Savor it. Think of the therapy and the waiting time as part of the ritual to becoming female. Little girls in other cultures have to endure rights and counsel to become a woman. And so are you. There is something lost in Western culture when little girls become women with no ceremony. Every little step is precious and is part of your journey into womanhood. Womanhood isn't so simple and easily attainable in other cultures as it is for cis girls here. You have to endure rites and counsel. Take it easy. Follow the steps and grow into a woman.

the irony is im known by everyone that knows me as the most patient person ever. but i cant stand waitin on this
  •

Nero

the outcome of your surgeries depends on your wait. what other alternatives are there? botched surgery? being buried as the wrong sex?

ok so i can wait but how do i afford without being in debt the rest of my life

you work toward your goal. think of your present situation, how much you can save a week. then, think how else you can supplement your income.

SRS/GRS is the most important surgery for MTF. So it is usually good to priorize it.

I think 'gender indicated' surgeries are more important than SRS. Many people have SRS but look male, so there isn't much achievement there. Surgery that enhances the female shape like breast augmentation and lipo to me are more important if I'm walking down the street. For me to be percieved as female is more important to me personally. If everything else works out then SRS is the last piece of the jigsaw on my list.
