The Roadmap Is Never The Road

I find especially poignant and instructive posts I read that are made by significant others who are struggling with their spouses or friends transitioning their sexes and are simultaneously trying to maintain their relationships with one another.
Yes, the mix makes for reading and sighing over a lot of pain and uncertainty; but it also makes a good springboard for my own thoughts about "living life." I find that in thinking and weighing my own comments that I discover a heck of a lot more about the way I perceive and live in the world than I am likely to give others who read my commentary.
