Spotting

I've been post-operational for 7 months & I'm still spotting. I'm almost healed & even my urine stream I talked about before has normalised. Whilst I know everybody's different, I'd like to ask if you've got the same problem & how long the spotting normally lasts?

You don't say if the spotting is spontaneous or if it only occurs after...how shall we put it?... strenuous activities.

Like I said on another thread, it takes up to a year (or more) for your vagina to be completely healed.  Spontaneous spotting is quite normal during the healing process.  I, myself, experienced it regularly during the first year and even a few months after.  Nowadays it only happens once in a while during the type of activities I have mentioned above.

yep. spotting sometimes happens to organic vaginas during certain activities as well.

Mine lasted for maybe 6 weeks after the second surgery, even with me starting sports and sex early. Then again I tend to heal quickly. I did have some bleeding issues a few months back but that was due to a kidney infection.

This happens to me from time to time too. I've been post-op for 9 months, and I'm a Suporn girl. I wonder if it's got to do with the techniques used during GRS, your age & the surgeon that operated on you. I've also heard that a younger person tends to bleed more easily & heal much more slowly than someone who's not so young. Shrug. It'd be nice to know if there's any truth to this.

I've been dealing with mine regularly but I'm still healing.  I'm only 2 months post op & haven't had vaginal intercourse yet.  My post operative packet says this is normal so I'm not worried.

9 months post-op.  Bowers' Girl. Very little spotting. But maybe my "activities" aren't that demanding

my urine stream I talked about before has normalised.

I have occasional spotting. Usually after having intercourse, but not always. I usually carry a pad with me in my purse and if I notice spotting whlile using the restroom I'll put the pad on also. Usually wear a pad the day after having intercourse because I know it's a almost a given I'll need it.

I'm 4.5 months post op. I'm a McGinn girl. I still spot occasionally.

LOL..perhaps.  But yes, it's extremely strenuous to go up and down, up and down, up and down, up and down (the stairs).

LOL, that's why I use elevators.

I'm almost three years post op now and I experienced spotting for about 7 months as I recall.  But remember, depending on the person it can take up to three years to completely heal.  Also dilating can irritate the tissues and cause a little spotting.

~laugh~  With 3 months post-op, Everybody says I should be quite ready for anything that comes my way .   My BF thinks I am, but I don't think I'm quite there yet.

Also dilating can irritate the tissues and cause a little spotting.

I've found this to be true.
