LONDON, July 23, 2009  –  A gay human rights campaigner today called for a police investigation following revelations in a newspaper that 'gay exorcisms' are being carried out in UK Christian churches.

Fundamentalist Christian churches in Britain are performing exorcisms on lesbian and gay people in a bid to purge them of their homosexuality, the Metro revealed last month.
